Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepherd has chosen On top of Spaghetti as his entrance music. German Shepherd told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd misses with a takedown attempt
and Pound cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pound tries to clinch up but Shepherd circles away and keeps his distance.
Shepherd scores a takedown into full mount!
Shepherd connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pound is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Pound is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pound is in all sorts of trouble here.
Shepherd raining down hammerfists from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pound tries to lock up and control but Shepherd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Shepherd working the ground and pound effectively.
Pound is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Shepherd breaks from Pound's wrist control and lands an elbow.
BOOM! Shepherd connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pound tries to reverse the position but Shepherd maintains control.
Shepherd cracks Pound with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). German Shepherd!
