Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stooler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo DaCosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stooler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo DaCosta! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stooler closes the distance but DaCosta moves to the side and Stooler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. DaCosta lands a head kick!
Stooler misses with a takedown attempt and DaCosta counters with a nice double leg into guard. DaCosta trying to control the position from guard on top but Stooler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stooler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DaCosta is not content to let Stooler control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A head kick misses from DaCosta. Stooler has his takedown stuffed and DaCosta counters with a flying knee. Nice. Stooler with a poor takedown and DaCosta counters with a head kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Stooler. That's going to take a lot out of him. DaCosta drives through with a takedown into guard. DaCosta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stooler swivels though and keeps the full guard. DaCosta works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stooler is not content to let DaCosta control the position. DaCosta controlling the action here. Stooler is looking for a sweep. DaCosta is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. DaCosta trying to control from half guard but Stooler is working away. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stooler tries to roll over but DaCosta keeps him under control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pablo DaCosta. Stooler shoots and misses and DaCosta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. DaCosta sitting in guard, not really doing much. DaCosta's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. DaCosta looking to pass the guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Pablo DaCosta hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Stooler misses with a takedown attempt and DaCosta counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stooler's guard now. DaCosta passes Stooler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stooler wants to improve his position but DaCosta is controlling well.
Stooler is working hard here to advance position. DaCosta stands up from half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. DaCosta scores with a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stooler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DaCosta counters with a takedown into side control. Stooler is breathing heavily. Stooler is not content to let DaCosta control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stooler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and DaCosta counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stooler wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Stooler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stooler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. DaCosta is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. DaCosta manages to break the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stooler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from DaCosta - the referee stops the clock and Stooler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says DaCosta. Stooler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. DaCosta clinches with his opponent.
DaCosta gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stooler regains guard.

Stooler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

DaCosta is taking a breather. Stooler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stooler gets full guard. Stooler controls DaCosta momentarily but DaCosta frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stooler has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but DaCosta has passed into side control.

Stooler breaks DaCosta's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Stooler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stooler won't allow DaCosta to sweep him here. Stooler tries to free his leg and advance position but DaCosta is retaining full guard. Stooler stands and throws DaCosta's legs to the side, diving into side control. Stooler decides to stand back up. Stooler steps back and let's DaCosta get back to his feet. Jack Stooler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stooler tries for a takedown but DaCosta circles away easily and DaCosta counters with a left and a right that stings Stooler. DaCosta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Stooler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but DaCosta pulls his head out easily. Jack Stooler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stooler trying to control but DaCosta postures up.

DaCosta wants to control but Stooler is keeping him busy. Pablo DaCosta is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stooler tries to roll over but DaCosta keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! Pablo DaCosta comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well DaCosta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
