Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Adeleye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Castle Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adeleye comes to the cage accompanied by The Last of the Mohicans. Rock is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Rogue from Scotland . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Castle Rock!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Adeleye misses with a body shot.

Adeleye shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Adeleye was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adeleye has control of Rock's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rock regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Adeleye throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Adeleye is landing with some decent strikes but Rock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Rock defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Adeleye.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Adeleye wants to take Rock's back here but Rock is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Rock wants to hold on but Adeleye pushes him away.

Adeleye jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rock is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rock and Adeleye has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Rock postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Adeleye to stand up.

Rock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rock checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adeleye was well out of range. Poor timing from Rock.
Rock lands with a cross.
Rock wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Adeleye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Adeleye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A looping hook to the body misses from Adeleye. Rock does a little dance to reset his feet.
Adeleye bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rock's head backwards.

Rock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adeleye, pushing him back against the cage.

Rock tries a body shot but Adeleye blocks it.

Adeleye is trying to break the clinch but Rock has him pressed against the cage.

Rock scores with a shoulder strike.
Rock has Adeleye pressed against the cage, preventing Adeleye from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rock lands a body punch.
Adeleye is looking to break free of the clinch but Rock has double underhooks.
Rock prevents Adeleye from breaking the clinch.

Adeleye's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice straight punches there by Adeleye. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Adeleye.
Rock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nelson Adeleye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rock tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adeleye swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Adeleye throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rock sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Adeleye throws out a leg kick but Rock moves out of range and Adeleye only half commits.
Rock throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adeleye on the side of the head.

Adeleye fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rock manages to avoid it.

Rock swings for the body but Adeleye moves out of range.
Rock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Adeleye sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Adeleye fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Rock uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Adeleye.

and Rock counters with a stiff right hand.
Adeleye scores with a jab to the head.
Adeleye with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rock to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rock avoids the body shot from Adeleye.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Castle Rock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Rock tries to clinch up but Adeleye circles away and keeps his distance.
Adeleye walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rock checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Adeleye swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Adeleye will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rock lunges at Adeleye with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Adeleye's hand.
Adeleye has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Adeleye swings for the body but Rock moves out of range.
Rock scores with a jab.
Castle Rock seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rock connects with a crisp jab.
Oh Adeleye is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rock throws out a loose jab but Adeleye uses good head movement to avoid it.
Adeleye seems to have got his legs back now.
Rock throws a jab but it's blocked by Adeleye.

and Rock counters with a crisp one two that drops Adeleye! Rock thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Adeleye to his feet! Adeleye is in big trouble!

Adeleye throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rock's waist but Rock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Adeleye off to one side.

Adeleye takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Rock tests Adeleye's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Castle Rock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rock has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
