The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chips misses with a hook to the body
enabling Dyer to counter with a crisp jab.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Chips is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dyer still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dyer has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chips throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dyer's waist but Dyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chips off to one side.
Dyer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chips. That did some damage!
Chips shoots in looking for a takedown. Dyer tries to sprawl out of it but Chips keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dyer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
