Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Hearns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hearns might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Prodigy - Firestarter. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marvin Hearns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Bourne! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hearns connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bourne. Bourne circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Hearns misses with a looping right. Bourne has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hearns finds it's way round the side to connect with Bourne's head. Bourne takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bourne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hearns.
A slow jab from Hearns misses its intended target. Hearns lands the left hand. Bourne fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bourne dodges the punch combination from Hearns.
Sloppy strikes from Hearns. Those never looked like landing. Bourne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hearns circles away quickly and effectively. Bourne moves out of range of the strikes. Hearns jabs Bourne to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bourne closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bourne throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Hearns wants to control but Bourne postures up. Hearns tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bourne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hearns is trying to buck Bourne off. Hearns sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bourne not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hearns kicks off Bourne and gets to his feet. Bourne clinches up with Hearns and pushes him back against the cage. Bourne throws a head punch that misses. Bourne working aggressively here.
Bourne prevents Hearns from breaking the clinch. Bourne doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hearns wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hearns just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bourne's brow. Bourne misses with a short punch on the inside. Bourne blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hearns is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hearns is trying to break free. Bourne misses with a short punch on the inside. Bourne pulls guard effortlessly. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hearns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bourne is working an open guard so Hearns takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hearns throws a right and a left that both miss. Hearns is breathing heavily. Bourne gets a takedown into half guard. Hearns wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hearns makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hearns. Bourne wants to pass the guard but Hearns is keeping the position. Bourne stays in close to Hearns's body and controls the position. Hearns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bourne controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bourne preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bourne prevents Hearns from getting back to his feet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Bourne wasn't active enough on the ground. Bourne ducks under a wild hook from Hearns. Hearns throws a lazy right hand but Bourne sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bourne feints and as Hearns raises his hands in defense, Bourne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bourne works over Hearns with some ground and pound from guard. Hearns has momentary wrist control but Bourne slips an elbow through the middle. Bourne wants to control from the top but Hearns keeps moving. Hearns wants to stand up but Bourne is controlling him. Bourne pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hearns is keeping the position for now. Bourne engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hearns has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bourne off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hearns avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hearns throws a right and a left that Bourne avoids nicely. Hearns moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bourne pushes Hearns up against the cage in a clinch. Bourne misses with the head strike.

Bourne decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hearns throwing strikes from guard but Bourne blocks nicely. Hearns is looking to stand up but Bourne won't let him. Bourne thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hearns avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Marvin Hearns dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bourne misses with a right hand and Hearns counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bourne takes the fight into the clinch. Hearns manages to break the clinch.
Hearns keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bourne looks for a takedown but Hearns sprawls well. Hearns fails in his attempt to clinch. Hearns tries to close the distance and clinch but Bourne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hearns throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hearns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bourne. Hearns slips under a jab. Hearns looks to land a left hand but Bourne moved out of range nicely. Bourne ducks under a wild hook from Hearns. Bourne staying out of range there. Bourne throws an overhand right that lands on Hearns's shoulder, as Hearns tries to avoid the shot. Hearns throws a hook but Bourne blocks it. Bourne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hearns sprawls well. Hearns wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bourne gets slowly back to his feet. Marvin Hearns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Bourne.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hearns missing with a left hand there. Bourne was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bourne ducks under a wild hook from Hearns. Bourne shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hearns is trying to defend but Bourne finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bourne missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bourne has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bourne working the ground and pound. Hearns struggling a bit here. Bourne cracks Hearns with a big right hand but Hearns just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bourne darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hearns lands with a nice combination. Bourne backs away looking to recover. No luck for Hearns with that takedown attempt. Hearns is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Bourne scores a takedown into full mount! Bourne unloading with bombs! Bourne sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bourne lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hearns is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bourne looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bourne looking to control and managing it successfully. Bourne unloading with bombs! Bourne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hearns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hearns bucks Bourne off and manages to get back to his feet! Hearns throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bourne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bourne lands in his opponent's guard. Bourne with a flurry of punches that miss. Hearns trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hearns is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bourne missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bourne thows a big elbow that misses. Bourne lands a couple of elbows. Hearns is looking to stand up but Bourne isn't so interested in that idea. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bourne's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Bourne stands up over Hearns, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hearns on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hearns tries to get out of the position. Bourne working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. David Bourne has got the better of the ground game so far. Bourne wants to pass the guard but Hearns is keeping the position. Bourne avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hearns slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bourne's guard. Hearns not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bourne wants to control from the top but Hearns keeps moving. Bourne is in close to Hearns's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bourne scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hearns preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bourne wants to control from the top but Hearns keeps moving. Hearns wants to stand and escape but Bourne is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bourne is stalling in the full guard. Hearns keeping moving, preventing Bourne from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! David Bourne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bourne has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
