The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brando's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Brando duly obliges.
It looks like DJJ Skeet has been cut.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Brando enables Skeet to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brando manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Skeet wants to control from the top but Brando keeps moving.
Skeet might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brando kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
