Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rinaldo Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rinaldo Rosa!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rosa counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Thiago Silva has been cut.
Silva wants to clinch but Rosa slips to the side
and Rosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rosa!
Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rosa counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Rosa won't allow it.
Rosa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Rosa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rosa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rosa dives into side control.
Silva is letting Rosa control him for a moment.
Rosa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva darts in trying to clinch
and Rosa counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rosa.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Rosa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rosa scoring with some ground and pound.
Rosa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rosa stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The referee asks Rosa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rosa prefers to stall for the moment though.
Rosa in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Rosa stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Rosa rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rosa breaks from the clinch.
Rosa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rosa passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rosa working the ground and pound effectively.
Rosa has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rosa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Silva is in a horrible position here. Rosa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rosa is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rosa drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rosa controls from within his opponent's guard.
Silva is wriggling around but Rosa manages to pass to half guard.
Silva pushes Rosa off but Rosa dives into side control.
Rosa advances to mount.
Silva is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Rosa has taken his back!
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva is trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rosa lands a shot to the body.
Rosa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Silva's body.
Silva is trying to stand back up.
Rosa controls the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rosa is working for a rear naked choke. Silva is not defending it well and Rosa has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Silva refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Silva's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rinaldo Rosa!
