Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eino Juutilainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Torsti Taavetti Kiljutonkka! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiljutonkka pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Juutilainen avoids the head kick by Kiljutonkka.
Juutilainen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Juutilainen throws and elbow that misses. Kiljutonkka uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Juutilainen's guard. Nice move by Kiljutonkka! Kiljutonkka stopping the sweep attempt from Juutilainen. Kiljutonkka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiljutonkka trying to control but Juutilainen is working from the bottom. Juutilainen has control of Kiljutonkka's left arm, preventing Kiljutonkka from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Eino Juutilainen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kiljutonkka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kiljutonkka throws a leg kick which misses Juutilainen's front leg but catches the back leg as Juutilainen tries to avoid it. Juutilainen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kiljutonkka avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Juutilainen. Kiljutonkka is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Juutilainen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Juutilainen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kiljutonkka defending well though. The fighters are battling for position here. Kiljutonkka manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Juutilainen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kiljutonkka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Juutilainen. Kiljutonkka is pulling down on Juutilainen's head. It's preventing any offense from Juutilainen, at least for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Juutilainen with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiljutonkka misses with a head kick.
Kiljutonkka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Juutilainen drives through with a takedown into guard. Juutilainen throwing strikes from guard but Kiljutonkka blocks nicely. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kiljutonkka can do anything to dispel that myth. Juutilainen throwing strikes but missing. Kiljutonkka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Juutilainen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiljutonkka trying to control the position here. Kiljutonkka's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Kiljutonkka is trying to keep Juutilainen in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Torsti Taavetti Kiljutonkka hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A head kick from Kiljutonkka lands but Juutilainen takes it in his stride. Juutilainen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kiljutonkka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Juutilainen throws a big right hand that misses. Kiljutonkka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Juutilainen lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiljutonkka wants to stand but Juutilainen is controlling the position. Juutilainen won't allow Kiljutonkka to sweep him here. Juutilainen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Juutilainen throwing strikes but missing. Juutilainen won't allow Kiljutonkka to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kiljutonkka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Juutilainen stopping the sweep attempt from Kiljutonkka. Juutilainen throwing strikes from guard but Kiljutonkka blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eino Juutilainen dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Juutilainen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kiljutonkka quickly recovers to half guard. Juutilainen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kiljutonkka is not content to let Juutilainen control the position. Kiljutonkka is looking for a sweep. Juutilainen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nice strikes from Juutilainen there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Juutilainen thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kiljutonkka to regain full guard. Kiljutonkka tries to land a sweep but no joy. Juutilainen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kiljutonkka's head. Kiljutonkka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Juutilainen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Juutilainen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Juutilainen tries to free his leg and advance position but Kiljutonkka is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Juutilainen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Juutilainen wants to pass the guard but Kiljutonkka is keeping the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kiljutonkka is on top in guard.
Juutilainen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kiljutonkka puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiljutonkka content to control rather than advance. Kiljutonkka is trying to control the action in half guard but Juutilainen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Juutilainen holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Juutilainen gets back to full guard.
Juutilainen pulls Kiljutonkka in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Eino Juutilainen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Juutilainen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
