Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero's entrance music is Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby. A fine choice. Manhoef is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Steady Mobbin'. Sub Zero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Zero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Melvin Manhoef! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick from Manhoef misses. An inside leg kick lands from Manhoef. Manhoef motions for Zero to come forward. Manhoef throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Manhoef tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Manhoef throws a chopping leg kick but Zero manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Zero shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Manhoef manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Zero trying to control but Manhoef is working from the bottom. Zero postures up in Manhoef's guard and throws a big left but Manhoef blocks it. Zero trying to control but Manhoef is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manhoef swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Zero is looking to work some ground and pound but Manhoef has wrist control. Manhoef keeping full guard, as Zero tries to pass. Zero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zero just misses with a punch to the body.
Manhoef throws a head kick that misses. Melvin Manhoef is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zero. Manhoef swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Zero counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Manhoef fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zero. Zero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manhoef was well out of range. Poor timing from Zero. Zero checks a leg kick. Zero throws out a loose jab but Manhoef uses good head movement to avoid it. Zero swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Manhoef. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Zero checks a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manhoef thows a leg kick but Zero checks it and Zero counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Zero throws a shot to the body.
Zero misses with a body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Zero blocks the leg kick.
Manhoef throws a leg kick and Zero counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Manhoef's guard now. Zero drops back looking for a leg! Manhoef is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Manhoef manages to kick Zero off! Zero jumps back into Manhoef's guard. Zero looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zero passes easily into side control. Nice work. Zero trying to control the action but Manhoef is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manhoef can do anything to dispel that myth. Zero cracks Manhoef with a big right hand but Manhoef just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Zero is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manhoef knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Zero trying to control the position but Manhoef is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sub Zero dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Zero misses with a low kick as Manhoef jumps back. Zero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Manhoef throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A left lands for Zero. Manhoef throws a combination that misses and Zero counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Zero seems to be looking for submissions.
Zero is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Manhoef doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zero. Manhoef really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zero working over Manhoef with some ground and pound. Manhoef looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Zero is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Zero not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Zero is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Manhoef has managed to free his arm - good work. Zero is working for a kimura but Manhoef is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zero wants to free his trapped foot but Manhoef is holding on for dear life with his legs. Zero wants to work for an arm triangle but Manhoef is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zero missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zero lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zero wants to take a breather but Manhoef is having none of it. Zero works his way into full mount! Zero has hold of Manhoef's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Manhoef manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zero trying to control but he's not successful this time. Zero looking to isolate an arm here. Manhoef doesn't see it coming and as Zero extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Zero!
