Amato comes into the arena with Gonna Fly Now blaring out of the sound system. Domenic Amato has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruent misses with a wild combination.
Amato is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ruent sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ruent fails with a takedown attempt.
Ruent shoots in and gets a takedown into Amato's guard.
Ruent trying to control but Amato is working from the bottom.
Amato is pulling down on Ruent's head. It's preventing any offense from Ruent, at least for the moment.
Amato is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ruent tries to roll over but Amato keeps him under control.

Ruent is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Ruent wants to hold on but Amato pushes him away.
Amato postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ruent looks a forlorn figure.
Amato scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Amato can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ruent is looking to escape.
Ruent really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Amato raining down shots from the mount!
Amato lands a big elbow.
Amato looking to finish Ruent with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ruent!
Amato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ruent is squirming around, avoiding Amato's attempts to control the action.
Ruent can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ruent tries to hold on but Amato postures up.
Amato looking to control and managing it successfully.
Amato lands a big shot there that rocks Ruent but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ruent is desperately trying to improve his position but Amato has a good base and remains in mount.
Amato controlling his opponent.
Ruent is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Ruent that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Amato trying to control but Ruent is having none of it.
Amato pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Ruent working to try and regain half guard.
Ruent is bucking up trying to escape but Amato cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amato tries to control but Ruent wriggling away.
Amato has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ruent's face.
Ruent is in all sorts of trouble here.
Amato lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ruent is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Amato postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Ruent bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Amato and the fight is over!
