Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonas Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ribero Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen thuds his right hand into Garcia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Garcia doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jensen counters with a stiff right hand.
Garcia on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jensen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Garcia sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Garcia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jensen.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garcia is defended easily by Jensen.
Garcia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garcia lands in his opponent's guard.
Jensen keeping moving, preventing Garcia from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jonas Jensen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown by Garcia or perhaps it was just good defense by Jensen which made him look bad.
Jonas Jensen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ribero Garcia.
A swing and a miss from Jensen.
Jensen misses with an uppercut.
Ribero Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garcia throws a head kick that misses.
Garcia shoots and misses
and Jensen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Garcia looks gassed!
Jensen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Garcia at a distance.
Jensen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Garcia momentarily.
Garcia tries a low kick but Jensen avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jensen throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Garcia colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Jensen as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Garcia is left battered and dazed whilst Jensen and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonas Jensen!
