Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edson Barboza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergei Kravelski! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kravelski throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kravelski clinches with his opponent.
Kravelski is trying to force a seperation but Barboza has the dominant position. Kravelski missing with knees to the body.
Barboza prevents a takedown attempt there.
Barboza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kravelski throws the kick towards the body but Barboza avoids it. Kravelski slips a jab from Barboza. Kravelski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Barboza counters by clinching up. Kravelski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Barboza.
Kravelski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Barboza pulls his leg out and moves away.
Edson Barboza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Kravelski. Kravelski doesn't succeed with the takedown and Barboza counters with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kravelski with a poor takedown and Barboza holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Barboza misses with the head strike.
Kravelski can't get the takedown.
Barboza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barboza has closed the distance and engaged Kravelski in a clinch.
Kravelski gets underhooks to prevent Barboza's takedown attempt.

Kravelski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Barboza makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kravelski looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kravelski tries for a takedown but Barboza circles away easily and Barboza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kravelski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kravelski blocks a leg kick. Kravelski shoots and misses and Barboza counters with a big head kick but Kravelski shrugs it off. Barboza instigates a clinch. Barboza avoiding damage.
Barboza drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kravelski pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kravelski keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barboza dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kravelski. That did some damage! Barboza tried to score with a low kick but Kravelski checks it. Barboza scores with a nice body kick.
Barboza throws a nice inside leg kick. Barboza throws a head kick that Kravelski semi-blocks.
Barboza misses with a series of wild punches.
Barboza tries to close the distance and clinch but Kravelski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barboza lands a jab-cross combination. Barboza gets a clinch.

Kravelski tries a body shot but Barboza blocks it.
Barboza has hold of one of Kravelski's legs. Kravelski is fighting the takedown attempt but Barboza gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Kravelski is working an open guard so Barboza takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Barboza tries to work over Kravelski's front leg with a kick but Kravelski checks it. Barboza connects with a solid leg kick. Edson Barboza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barboza misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barboza lands a leg kick that knocks Kravelski off balance momentarily. Kravelski misses with a takedown and Barboza counters with a nice body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barboza wants to clinch. Barboza throws a head kick but Kravelski moves out of range.
Kravelski fails with the takedown and Barboza counters with an inside leg kick. Kravelski closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kravelski tries to score a body lock takedown but Barboza shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kravelski is breathing heavily. Barboza tries to pull guard but Kravelski won't allow it.
Kravelski has Barboza pushed against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Barboza fails to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barboza changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kravelski fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Barboza cracks Kravelski with a good jab. Barboza gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Barboza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kravelski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kravelski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Barboza looking for a sweep. Not yet Barboza, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barboza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kravelski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kravelski trying to control but Barboza is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kravelski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Barboza keeping moving, preventing Kravelski from controlling successfully. Barboza is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barboza can't keep his opponent in guard - Kravelski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Barboza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kravelski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barboza keeps working. Kravelski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kravelski tries to stand but can't do so whilst Barboza controls his leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kravelski trying to mount his opponent but Barboza defends it. Kravelski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barboza defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kravelski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barboza keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sergei Kravelski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Barboza wants to control from the top but Kravelski keeps moving. Barboza won't allow Kravelski to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Edson Barboza. Kravelski blocks a low kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kravelski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Barboza makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Barboza throws a solid leg kick but Kravelski takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barboza. Barboza scoring well with a low kick there.
Kravelski keeps the fight on the outside. Danga de danga de dang - Barboza scores with a four punch combination! Barboza tries to clinch up. Kravelski checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Kravelski throws a leg kick and Barboza counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Edson Barboza is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barboza lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barboza instigates a clinch. Barboza lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Barboza wants to control but Kravelski is keeping him busy. Kravelski slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kravelski looking for a guillotine here but Barboza defends easily.
Barboza wants to control from the top but Kravelski keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barboza decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Barboza is looking to clinch. Kravelski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barboza instigates a clinch. Kravelski displaying some good clinch control by pressing Barboza up against the cage. Kravelski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Edson Barboza showed his dominance in that final round. Well Barboza has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
