The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esko lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Carlgren fails in his attempt to clinch.
Carlgren throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carlgren closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Esko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carlgren's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Esko regains full guard. Nicely done.
Esko is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Carlgren frees his head nicely. Oh but Esko has switched to an armbar! Carlgren is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
