Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Albert Camus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Shcloff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Camus comes to the cage accompanied by Heartbeats. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rick Shcloff enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Albert Camus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Shcloff!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shcloff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Camus's guard.
Camus utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Camus keeping full guard, as Shcloff tries to pass.
Camus wants to stand but Shcloff is controlling the position.
Camus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Shcloff throwing strikes but missing.

Shcloff drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shcloff jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shcloff wants to control from the top but Camus keeps moving.
Camus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shcloff tries to free his leg and advance position but Camus is retaining full guard.
Camus keeping moving, preventing Shcloff from controlling successfully.
Shcloff trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shcloff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Shcloff is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shcloff passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Camus dodges the ground and pound from Shcloff.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Camus is looking for a sweep.
Shcloff working away.
Shcloff tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Camus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Camus tries to get out of the position.
Shcloff creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Camus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Camus is looking for a sweep.
Shcloff slows the pace down.
Shcloff is looking to take a break and control but Camus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Shcloff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Camus, who protects the arm well.

You can see the frustration on Camus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Camus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shcloff on the ground.
Shcloff throws an elbow but Camus slips to the side and avoids it well.
Shcloff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Camus keeps working.
Camus is trying to buck Shcloff off.
Shcloff trying to control the action but Camus is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The strikes coming from Shcloff are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Camus tries to buck Shcloff off but Shcloff is having none of it.
Shcloff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Camus keeps working.
Shcloff might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Camus kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Camus is trying to control Shcloff's posture but Shcloff avoids it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Shcloff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Camus, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Camus with a poor takedown

and Shcloff counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Camus!
Shcloff unloads with some shots from mount but Camus bucks and avoids them well.
Camus wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Shcloff.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shcloff wants to control the pace but Camus is squirming around nicely.
Shcloff blocks Camus's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Shcloff throwing strikes here but Camus is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Shcloff looking to control but Camus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Camus is looking to get to half guard.
Camus is working hard here to advance position.

Shcloff wants to take Camus's back but he can't do it this time.

Shcloff is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Camus is surviving well by controlling Shcloff's body position as best he can.
Shcloff prevents Camus from getting the reversal.

Shcloff wants to finish this one by submission but Camus is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shcloff.
Shcloff tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Shcloff punching from mount but Camus doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Shcloff tries to control but Camus wriggling away.
Shcloff avoids the attempt from Camus to control.

Shcloff looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Camus is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Shcloff looking to control but Camus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Shcloff prevents Camus from getting the reversal.
Shcloff trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Camus is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Shcloff locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Camus is forced to tap!
