Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Chris Redfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Josh Evens!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redfield throws a head kick but Evens moves out of range.
Evens throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Evens throws a looping overhand right but Redfield ducks down to avoid it.
A combination from Evens does no damage.
Redfield fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Evens avoids it really well and circles away.
Evens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Redfield has a takedown stuffed.
Redfield misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Redfield. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Redfield shoots in looking for a takedown but Evens manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Redfield's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Evens misses with a straight right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evens throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Redfield closes the distance and clinches up with Evens, looking for a takedown. Redfield pushes Evens against the cage but Evens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Redfield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Evens lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Evens is trying to drag Redfield to the mat but Redfield just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Evens tries a knee to the head but Redfield blocks it.
Redfield has Evens pressed against the cage, preventing Evens from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Evens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Redfield pulls his leg out and moves away.
Redfield looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evens is fending him off so far but Redfield persists. Nope, Evens circles away and we're back to standing.
Redfield shoots in but no luck this time.
Evens throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Redfield stumbling backwards into the cage! Redfield bounces back off the cage towards Evens, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Evens lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Evens celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Josh Evens!
