Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Durski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Kringle has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mickey Durski!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durski misses with the combination.
Durski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kringle counters with a nice uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kringle.
Durski misses with a body punch

and Kringle counters with a takedown into side control.
Durski bucks up and tries to throw Kringle off but instead Kringle has got his back!
Durski is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

and Kringle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Durski won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kringle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Durski is not content to let Kringle control the position.
Kringle thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Durski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kringle.

Kringle is looking to take a break and control but Durski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kringle wants to pass to mount but Durski is defending the position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Durski wants to get up but he can't break Kringle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Durski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Durski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kringle looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Durski gets tackled into the cage by Kringle. Kringle maintains the clinch.
Kringle keeps control of Durski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kringle jumps guard but Durski stands there with Kringle around his waist. Kringle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Mickey Durski has been cut.

Kringle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Durski ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kringle shoots in but Durski avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Kringle counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kringle.

Durski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Durski wants to get back to his feet but Kringle passes into half guard.

Kringle is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Durski is surviving well by controlling Kringle's body position as best he can.
Kringle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Durski looks a forlorn figure.
Durski is squirming around, avoiding Kringle's attempts to control the action.
Kringle is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Durski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kringle postures up in Durski's guard and throws a big left but Durski blocks it.

and Kringle counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kringle.

Durski pushes Kringle off looking to stand but Kringle dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kringle is just content to waste time from the top position. Durski takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Durski wants to stand but Kringle has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Durski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kringle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Durski has managed to get both his arms back between Kringle's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kringle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
