Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Strupek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessandro Moretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strupek comes into the arena with Click Clack blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strupek fails with the takedown
and Moretti connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Moretti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Moretti seems to be working for a kimura but Strupek defends the submission attempt.
Strupek wants to control but Moretti is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Moretti connects with a nice short shot to Strupek's temple.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Moretti cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Moretti is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Strupek to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Strupek shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alessandro Moretti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Strupek fails with the takedown

and Moretti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Strupek's guard.
