Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daisuke Honda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honda misses with a takedown and St Pierre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Honda looks to clinch and St Pierre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Honda throws a leg kick but St Pierre sees it coming and checks it nicely. Honda throws a head kick that half lands.
Honda rushes St Pierre and presses him up against the cage. St Pierre pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. St Pierre closes the distance and clinches. St Pierre stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Honda pushes off an throws an elbow but St Pierre leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Honda trying to land knees to the body.

St Pierre has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Honda is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! St Pierre works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Pierre controls the pace of the fight for a moment. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Honda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. St Pierre pushes down on Honda's leg and manages to get into half guard. Honda is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. St Pierre takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Anderson St Pierre hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A low kick from Honda is predictable there and St Pierre counters with a takedown into side control. St Pierre working the ground and pound. You can see the frustration on Honda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Honda takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honda seems a little lost for a moment, as St Pierre dominates the positioning. St Pierre working away. Honda stops St Pierre from passing to mount. A lull in the action here. Honda is not content to let St Pierre control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. St Pierre stands up and beckons Honda to his feet. Honda looks to clinch and St Pierre counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Honda wants to improve his position but St Pierre is controlling well.
St Pierre passes to side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Pierre tries for a kimura but Honda is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson St Pierre dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Honda looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Honda looks to throw a body kick and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Honda won't be happy with that. St Pierre has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Honda closes the distance but St Pierre moves to the side and St Pierre counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Honda! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! St Pierre is in the full mount, landing strikes. St Pierre looking to control and managing it successfully. Honda wants to control but St Pierre is having none of it.

St Pierre thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. St Pierre postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Honda looks a forlorn figure.

St Pierre sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. St Pierre lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Honda hang on? St Pierre controlling the position easily from mount. Honda is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre controlling the pace for now. St Pierre lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. St Pierre lands a big shot there that rocks Honda but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
St Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. St Pierre looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre looking to finish Honda with some ground and pound. This is bad for Honda! St Pierre lands with some strikes. St Pierre controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee warns Honda that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson St Pierre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
St Pierre gets a clinch. Honda is trying to break the clinch but St Pierre has him pressed against the cage. St Pierre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Honda uses from the top position. St Pierre keeping full guard, as Honda tries to pass. St Pierre is trying to control the position but Honda postures up. Honda trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Honda has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. St Pierre throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

and St Pierre counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Honda's guard now. Honda wants to control but St Pierre passes easily into half guard.

St Pierre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. St Pierre wants to take a breather but Honda is having none of it.

Let's hope that St Pierre has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. St Pierre working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Honda's thigh. Honda counters though and makes it back to full guard. St Pierre sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Honda, up you get! Honda shoots and misses and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Honda won't be happy with that. St Pierre content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. St Pierre wants to control but Honda is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre decides to stand back up. Honda looks to clinch and St Pierre counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Daisuke Honda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St Pierre shoots in for a takedown but Honda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. St Pierre throws a head kick that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Pierre fails with an attempt to clinch.

Daisuke Honda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anderson St Pierre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Honda fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson St Pierre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got St Pierre winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
