The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meed takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Alves slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

A big strike lands for Alves! That's really hurt Meed and he's turned his back - Alves keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Alves jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
