Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Bellic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Johnson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Johnson prevents Bellic from standing back up.
Johnson passes to full mount! Johnson scoring with strikes but Bellic is staying in there. Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bellic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johnson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bellic to take his back! Johnson landing with strikes. Bellic manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Bellic. Johnson sitting in guard here, content to control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson wants to pass the guard but Bellic is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson shoots in and bounces Bellic off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bellic is keeping the position for now. Bellic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bellic wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Luke Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bellic tries to clinch up so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bellic is retaining full guard. Johnson advances to half guard. Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Bellic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bellic. Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Bellic is rocked! Johnson postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Bellic badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Johnson around the waist but Johnson pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Johnson is the winner by TKO! Johnson jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Johnson!
