Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Lyman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Kolodin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lyman comes to the cage accompanied by Broken Language. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Lyman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alan Kolodin! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyman looks to clinch and Lyman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kolodin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lyman is trying to get back to his feet. Kolodin swings around for an armbar but Lyman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kolodin's guard. Lyman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kolodin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lyman wants to stand but Kolodin is controlling his posture from full guard. Kolodin trying to control the position here. Kolodin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lyman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lyman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolodin controlling the position. Kolodin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lyman wants to stand but Kolodin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kolodin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kolodin has Lyman pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A punch combination from Kolodin misses. Kolodin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kolodin tries to free his leg and advance position but Lyman is retaining full guard. Kolodin passes into half guard. Kolodin not doing much here.
Kolodin in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lyman tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kolodin!
