The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hastings fails in his attempt to clinch.

enabling Bottensheller to counter with a crisp jab.

and Bottensheller lands a stunning uppercut that sends Hastings to the mat!


It looks like Josh Hastings has been cut.

Well, if Bottensheller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bottensheller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hastings for as long as he can get away with.
Hastings is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hastings gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bottensheller to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bottensheller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hastings to the mat! Hastings manages to get full guard.

Goran Bottensheller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bottensheller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hastings can do to turn this around?
Hastings takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Goran Bottensheller.

Bottensheller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hastings looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
