Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Les Oswald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Steene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Les Oswald has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Les Oswald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Steene!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oswald shoots in and bounces Steene off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Oswald trying to control but Steene is working from the bottom.
Oswald wants to stand but Steene is controlling his posture from full guard.
Oswald is breathing heavily.
Steene looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Oswald won't allow Steene to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Oswald shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Steene controlling the position well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steene works his way to full guard. Good work.
Oswald won't allow Steene to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Steene is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steene is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Steene gets to his feet - Oswald follows without any prompting.

Steene looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Steene really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oswald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like Steene is going to stand back up.
Oswald tries to roll over but Steene keeps him under control.
Oswald won't allow Steene to pass to mount.
Steene works his way into full mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steene controlling from mount.
Steene is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Oswald can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Steene stands up from mount. Strange move.

Steene scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steene landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Steene prevents Oswald from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steene tries to pass to full mount but Oswald defends it.
Steene winds up and cracks Oswald with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Steene working the head and body with strikes.
Oswald is looking for a sweep. Steene is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Steene seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Steene slips a nice elbow through Oswald's hands, connecting with Oswald's forehead.
Steene controlling the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Steene dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Steene lands with a shot to the body.
Steene attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Oswald misses with a takedown attempt

and Steene counters with a takedown into side control.
Steene is chipping away with strikes.

Steene tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Steene is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Oswald will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Oswald is looking to regain half guard here but Steene keeps moving and retains side control.

Steene controls the position.
Steene lands an elbow.
Steene taking a breather here.
Steene scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Oswald to see if he's OK.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Steene scoring with punches and elbows.
Oswald takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Steene working the head with strikes.
Oswald is being controlled here.
Steene's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Steene tries for a kimura but Oswald is defending well.
Oswald gets back to half guard.
Oswald wants to control but Steene is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steene moves into full mount! Oswald won't be happy about that!
Steene controlling the pace for now.
Steene scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Oswald?
Steene has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Oswald's face.
Steene controlling from mount.
Steene unloading with bombs!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steene with the ground and pound from mount.
Steene controlling from the full mount.
Steene pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Oswald is looking to get to half guard.
Steene content just to control the position here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Steene working for a guillotine from mount but Oswald is in no mood to give up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Steene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Oswald's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Steene lands a head kick!

Steene drives through and clinches with Oswald against the cage.

Steene pulls guard effortlessly.
Oswald stopping the sweep attempt from Steene.
Steene has his hands on Oswald's head, controlling the position.
Oswald trying to control the position from guard on top but Steene is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steene has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Oswald should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Steene has tightened it up now! Oswald should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jacob Steene!
