Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blitz Crank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Werdum comes to the cage accompanied by Winner. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Werdum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Blitz Crank! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Werdum gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crank counters with a lovely straight right hand! Werdum throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Crank tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Werdum is in Crank's guard. Werdum wants to control from the top but Crank keeps moving. Werdum is really struggling to control Crank but he's trying to hold on to the position. Crank preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Crank managing to control the position. Werdum drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Werdum jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crank is trying to keep Werdum in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crank wants to sweep but no luck. Werdum trying to stand up but can't free himself from Crank's guard. Crank tries to land a sweep but no joy. Crank is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Werdum with a poor takedown and Werdum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Crank avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Werdum fails with the takedown and Crank counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio Werdum. That's going to take a lot out of him. Werdum doesn't succeed with the takedown and Werdum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Werdum tries for a takedown but Crank circles away easily letting Crank counter with a right hand. Werdum is breathing heavily. Crank shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Werdum napping and manages to drive through into side control! Crank is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Werdum's shoulder. That is not cool. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. I looks like Crank might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Crank wants to lay and pray for a moment but Werdum keeps working. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Blitz Crank wasn't active enough on the ground. Werdum has his takedown stuffed and Crank counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Crank passes the guard and advances to mount! Crank controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crank can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Werdum is looking to escape. Werdum swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blitz Crank dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Werdum tries for a takedown but Crank circles away easily and Crank counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Crank tries to pass the half guard into mount. Werdum knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Crank looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Werdum is in trouble now - Crank has advanced to mount! Crank content just to control the position here. Werdum is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crank controlling his opponent. Crank looking to secure an arm triangle but Werdum defends it well. Crank looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Werdum is desperately trying to improve his position but Crank has a good base and remains in mount. Werdum wants to control but Crank is having none of it. Crank can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Werdum is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crank might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Werdum kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Werdum tries to get back to half guard but can't. Crank wants to control the action but instead Werdum gets a body lock and reverses into Crank's guard! Nice work! Werdum trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Crank lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Werdum! Crank is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Werdum can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Crank looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blitz Crank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Werdum tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Crank counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Crank content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Werdum tries to get to full guard but Crank has control of the leg. Werdum has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crank is working away from the top position though. Crank is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crank content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Crank tries to pass to full mount but Werdum defends it. Werdum trying to control but Crank postures up.
Crank passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Werdum!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Werdum wants to control but Crank is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Werdum keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Crank tries to control but Werdum wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crank controlling the position easily from mount. Werdum tries to lock up and control but Crank gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Crank controlling the pace for now. Fabricio Werdum has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Blitz Crank wasn't active enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Werdum enables Crank to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Werdum manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Crank pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Werdum is keeping the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crank stands and throws Werdum's legs to the side, diving into side control. Blitz Crank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Crank trying to control the action but Werdum is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Blitz Crank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Crank has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
