The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
No joy there for Maslobodev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maslobodev throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maslobodev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Maslobodev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Perkele wants to control but Maslobodev is keeping busy.
Maslobodev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Sergej Maslobodev just wasn't active enough.
Perkele buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Perkele moves out of range of the body kick from Maslobodev.
Perkele tries to clinch up
and Maslobodev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Maslobodev fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Maslobodev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Perkele quickly recovers to half guard.
