PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Art White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimmo Stasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stasi's choice of entrance music: Kitbuilders - In The Year 2525 (Ural 13 Diktators Remix). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stasi tried to score with a low kick but White checks it.

White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stasi shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Stasi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White.

White is staying tight to Stasi's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stasi is looking for a sweep.
White takes a little break here. Stasi wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
White will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Art White will probably get the nod.

Stasi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. White looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Stasi postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have White in real trouble here! The ref calls for White to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
