Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Bisping!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chad Shaw!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bisping scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shaw working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bisping tries to control but Shaw wriggling away.
Bisping looking to control and managing it successfully.
Bisping thowing shots but they're missing.

Bisping takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bisping trying to control but Shaw is having none of it.
Shaw tries to hold on but Bisping pushes him away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bisping working Shaw over with strikes here.
Bisping thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Bisping has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Shaw tries to hold on but Bisping pushes him away.
Bisping tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bisping trying to control but Shaw is having none of it.
Bisping will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shaw tries to reverse the position but Bisping maintains control.

Bisping sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Bisping is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Shaw is in real trouble.
Bisping really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Shaw.
Even with his hooks in, Bisping manages to miss with strikes from the back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bisping lands punches and elbows.
Shaw is trying to get back to his feet but Bisping has full control of the position and if anything, Shaw has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Bisping lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Bisping.

Bisping gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shaw counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shaw closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Shaw connects with a looping right hand.
Shaw keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Shaw moves into range and clinches up with Bisping.
Shaw wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Shaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shaw wants it to stay on the feet.

Shaw buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shaw turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chad Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bisping bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

and Bisping counters with a good low kick that Shaw was not able to check.

Michael Bisping overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shaw is looking to get back to is feet but Bisping passes into side control.

Shaw takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bisping is looking to take a break and control but Shaw is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Bisping feints and as Shaw raises his hands in defense, Bisping changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bisping is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Shaw preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bisping wants to stand but Shaw is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bisping not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Shaw takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Shaw keeping moving, preventing Bisping from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Michael Bisping just wasn't active enough.
Bisping tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bisping somewhat.
Bisping throws a leg kick which misses Shaw's front leg but catches the back leg as Shaw tries to avoid it.
Bisping uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shaw.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bisping closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shaw to the mat! Shaw manages to get full guard.
Bisping wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving.

Bisping decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shaw, up you get!
Bisping connects with an inside leg kick.

Bisping gets a clinch.
Bisping lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bisping drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shaw pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bisping misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Bisping tries for a takedown but Shaw sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shaw shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bisping counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bisping is looking to take a break and control but Shaw is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bisping thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Shaw to regain full guard.
Bisping trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bisping stays in close to Shaw's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Bisping.

Bisping has closed the distance and engaged Shaw in a clinch.
