Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benito Matias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toby Tutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toby Tutu!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matias tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tutu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tutu fails with a takedown attempt.
Matias misses with a head kick.
Matias tries to clinch up.
Matias wants to clinch but Tutu slips to the side

and Tutu counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Matias stops a takedown attempt from Tutu.
Matias letting Tutu take a breather here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matias is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tutu is defending well for now.

Matias misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tutu.
Matias is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tutu is keeping busy.
Matias could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tutu decides to pull guard.
Matias has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tutu is proving hard to escape from.
Tutu is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Matias has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Tutu pushes Matias off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Tutu avoids a kick to the body.
Matias avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Matias tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Tutu moves into the clinch.
Tutu stalling against the cage.

Tutu pulls guard.

Tutu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toby Tutu dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Matias tries to clinch but Tutu is having none of it.
Matias doesn't manage to clinch there - Tutu circles away.
Matias circles away from the clinch attempt.
Matias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tutu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Matias moves to clinch but Tutu breaks away

and Tutu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Tutu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Matias tries to hold on but Tutu postures up.
Tutu controlling from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Toby Tutu was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Tutu moves into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Matias stalling in the clinch but Tutu improves position.
Tutu slowing the pace effectively.
Tutu pushes off an throws an elbow but Matias leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toby Tutu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Tutu keeps the fight on the outside.
A thudding body kick lands there by Matias!

Tutu moves into range and clinches up with Matias.

Tutu pulls Matias into guard.
Matias might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tutu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Tutu manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tutu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Matias manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Matias is looking to clinch but Tutu is avoiding it.
Matias tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Matias tries a low kick but Tutu avoids it.
Tutu swats away the attempt to clinch by Matias.
Tutu scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tutu tries to close the distance and clinch but Matias swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tutu takes the fight into the clinch.
Tutu pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Tutu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Tutu pushes Matias off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Benito Matias has been cut.
Tutu lands a right hand.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tutu.
Tutu using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Matias has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tutu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tutu can't break the clinch.
Matias throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tutu blocks it with crossed arms.

Tutu gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tutu is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Tutu is trying for a kimura here. Matias looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Tutu wins by kimura!
