Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jezze James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Senseney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jezze James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Senseney! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. James working a defensive guard here.
James looking for a guillotine here but Senseney defends easily.
Senseney controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Senseney drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Senseney off! Senseney jumps back into James's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. James trying to keep a closed guard but Senseney is proving a slippery customer.
James looking for a sweep. Not yet James, not yet. Senseney is looking to advance position but James has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Senseney somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! James tries to land a front kick but Senseney steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A combination from Senseney does no damage. Senseney swings away with a body shot that misses
and James counters with a straight right hand. James shoots and misses and Senseney counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. James is trying to control the position but Senseney postures up. Senseney stays in close to James's body and controls the position. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Senseney is one step ahead there. Senseney's corner is telling him to maintain position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. James doesn't succeed with the takedown and Senseney counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James has Senseney pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Senseney manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jezze James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Senseney smiles and moves away.
James throws a chopping leg kick but Senseney manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Horrible takedown by Senseney or perhaps it was just good defense by James which made him look bad. James tries to clinch but Senseney moves away and Senseney decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in James's guard. Senseney gets to his feet - James follows without any prompting. Senseney looks gassed! Senseney fails with a takedown attempt. James fails with the takedown and Senseney counters by clinching up. Senseney pushes James back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. James tries a knee to the head but Senseney blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Senseney slowing the pace effectively. James can't get the takedown.
Senseney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Senseney counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Senseney is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Senseney advances to mount. Senseney controlling the position easily from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Senseney dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Senseney dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Senseney's head and hops out. James has his takedown stuffed and Senseney counters with a nice double leg into side control. James won't be happy with that. James tries to get back to half guard but can't. James is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Senseney's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Senseney is pressing down on James's thigh, looking to free his foot. James is holding on for now. Senseney controlling the action here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Senseney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

James fights it but they end up in guard. Senseney not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Cody Senseney has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Senseney is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Senseney circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jezze James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James with a lazy takedown attempt and Senseney counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in James's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Senseney is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Senseney makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! James stuffs the takedown. Senseney swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James fails miserably with a takedown attempt. James tries to clinch so Senseney counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Senseney looking to control the position here, rather than advance. James trying to keep a closed guard but Senseney is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Senseney showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

James has Senseney pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Senseney manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Senseney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Poor timing from Senseney. Senseney fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away. James misses with a takedown attempt and Senseney counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jezze James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Senseney postures up.
Senseney tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard. James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Senseney controls the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cody Senseney wasn't active enough on the ground. James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Senseney counters with a takedown into side control. Senseney staying calm. Senseney's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Senseney is trying to get an arm triangle but James is defending well. Senseney tries to advance to mount but can't. James tries to get back to half guard but can't. Senseney advances to full mount. Senseney looking to take James's back but James rolls and after a scramble, James ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from James to escape a tricky position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James wants to control from the top but Senseney keeps moving. Senseney wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it. James passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Senseney looks like he's trying to stand up.
James wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Senseney uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Senseney pushes James off and scrambles back to his feet.
Cody Senseney is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. James shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Senseney but Senseney pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that's the end of the fight! Cody Senseney comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Senseney winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
