Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Recoome Likum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Bo!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Likum throws a head kick but Bo moves out of range.
Likum tries for a takedown but Bo circles away easily
and Bo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Recoome Likum has been cut.
Bo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bo stands up from mount. Strange move.
Likum shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bo sprawls well. Bo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Likum gets slowly back to his feet.
Bo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Likum tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bo is in Likum's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Likum swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Likum had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bo defends it easily.
Bo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bo is looking to stand up but Likum won't let him.

Likum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Likum shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Likum showed some decent athleticism there.
Likum looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bo tries to pull guard but Likum holds him up against the cage and eventually Bo drops back down to his feet.

Bo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Recoome Likum overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bo is looking to control Likum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bo avoid being mounted?

Likum tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Likum has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Likum wants to control for a moment but Bo uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Likum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
