Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between O Shea Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, O Shea Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rubin Carter! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fails with the takedown. Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for O Shea Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter throws a left that rocks Jackson and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Carter dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jackson regain composure!

O Shea Jackson's cut is getting worse. Carter working away. Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jackson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carter off and has taken his back! Jackson seems to have got his legs back now. Jackson throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Jackson is persistently looking for the submission but Carter is defending it well.
Carter is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Jackson misses with an elbow to the head. Carter looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Jackson 's hooks. Jackson is breathing heavily. Carter is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Jackson throwing strikes here but Carter is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Carter is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carter can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carter wants to try and get back to his feet. Jackson has control of Carter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carter regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Carter is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Jackson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carter squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carter wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jackson.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jackson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carter because Jackson loaded up on that one. Carter trying desperately to get to his feet.
Carter bucks Jackson off and manages to get back to his feet! Carter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jackson scoring well with a low kick there.
Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. O Shea Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jackson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Carter checks it well. Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carter lands a really nice looking cross but Jackson seems unphased.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rubin Carter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on O Shea Jackson's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Carter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt. Carter lands with a hook. Jackson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jackson throws a right and a left that Carter avoids nicely. Jackson throws a right hand that misses
and Carter counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Jackson! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Carter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rubin Carter!
