Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Jensen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Cisterna!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cisterna with a hook.
Cisterna misses with a right hand
and Jensen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A telegraphed right hand from Jensen misses the target.
Cisterna uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jensen.
Jensen misses with a hook to the body
and Cisterna counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jensen misses with a looping left.
Cisterna throws a shot from downtown. Jensen moves away and avoids it.
Cisterna is looking to clinch but Jensen is avoiding it.

Cisterna darts in and clinches Jensen up against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Cisterna.
Jensen is looking to break free of the clinch but Cisterna has double underhooks.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Cisterna lands a body punch.
Jensen is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cisterna lands a body shot in the clinch.
Jensen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jensen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Cisterna.

Cisterna pulls guard.
Cisterna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cisterna is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jensen prevents Cisterna from getting back to his feet.
Cisterna looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jensen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Jensen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Cisterna is trying to stand back up but Jensen is controlling him
Cisterna moves into full guard.
Cisterna bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jensen's guard.
Jensen wants to stand up but Cisterna is controlling him.

Jensen wants to stand up but Cisterna is controlling him.
Cisterna throws a big right hand that misses.

Jensen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cisterna is one step ahead there.
Cisterna looking to pass the guard.

Cisterna postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cisterna, into his guard.
Jensen wants to control from the top but Cisterna keeps moving.
Jensen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jensen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cisterna swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jensen postures up.
Jensen forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jensen is keen to just control but Cisterna is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jensen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cisterna is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Cisterna scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jensen manages to mount him!
Jensen prevents Cisterna from getting the reversal.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jensen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cisterna's face.
Cisterna is squirming around, avoiding Jensen's attempts to control the action.
Cisterna bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Jensen wants to sweep here but Cisterna controlling him for the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cisterna stops Jensen from standing up.
Cisterna postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Cisterna dominated that round.
That's time! Jensen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jensen thows a body shot but no joy.
Cisterna slips under a jab.
Cisterna tries to clinch but Jensen moves out of range.
Jensen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cisterna lands an overhand right.
Cisterna throws a lazy uppercut
and Jensen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cisterna thinking.
Jensen lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Ryan Cisterna has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jensen fails with a takedown attempt.
Jensen dives in and grabs Cisterna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cisterna pushes down on Jensen's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Jensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jensen thows a body shot but no joy.
Jensen lands a jab to the head.
Cisterna shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well.
Jensen misses with a straight right.
Jensen throws a body punch but Cisterna moves out of range.
Cisterna walks into a left hand.
Cisterna walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cisterna is breathing heavily.

Jensen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jensen throws a shot to the body.
A cross from Jensen lands.
Jensen lands a really nice looking cross but Cisterna seems unphased.

Jensen drops his shoulder and cracks Cisterna with a huge uppercut! Cisterna goes down! Can Jensen finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jensen controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jensen wants to pass the guard but Cisterna is keeping the position.
Jensen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Jensen works over Cisterna with some ground and pound from guard.

Cisterna wants to stand up but Jensen is controlling him.

Jensen wants to control from the top but Cisterna keeps moving.
Jensen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cisterna swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jensen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jensen distracts Cisterna with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Cisterna can't keep his opponent in guard - Jensen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jensen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cisterna knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jensen prevents Cisterna from improving his position.
Jensen is trying to control. Cisterna wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cisterna regains full guard. Nicely done.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jensen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jensen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cisterna swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Cisterna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jensen is really struggling to control Cisterna but he's trying to hold on to the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Peter Jensen.
Cisterna drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


That has opened up Ryan Cisterna's cut even more.
Jensen connects with a looping right hand.
The fighters circling - Jensen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jensen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cisterna looks to land a left hand but Jensen moved out of range nicely.
Cisterna throws a body punch but Jensen moves out of range.
Cisterna uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jensen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ryan Cisterna's cut.
That's time! Jensen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cisterna moves to clinch but Jensen breaks away
and Jensen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cisterna tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jensen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cisterna throws a shot from downtown. Jensen moves away and avoids it.
Jensen throws out a loose jab but Cisterna uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jensen cracks Cisterna with a good jab.
Jensen scores with a nice strike.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cisterna moves away from the strike by Jensen.
Jensen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A slow jab from Jensen misses its intended target.

Jensen drops Cisterna with a big left hand and mounts him. Cisterna is in big trouble!
Jensen raining down hammerfists from mount.
Jensen lands a big shot to the head and Cisterna winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Peter Jensen!
