Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Waber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Rofen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zak Rofen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Waber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zak Rofen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waber shoots and misses and Rofen counters with a nice uppercut. Rofen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Waber is trying to defend but Rofen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Waber manages to escape and get back to his feet! Waber tries for a takedown but Rofen circles away easily and Rofen counters with a shoot takedown. Waber fights it but they end up in guard. Rofen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Waber wants to stand and escape but Rofen is having none of it. Rofen stays in close to Waber's body and controls the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Waber is breathing heavily. Rofen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zak Rofen was stalling too much, according to the referee. Rofen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Waber quickly recovers to half guard. Rofen wants to pass to mount but Waber is defending the position. Rofen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rofen scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rofen sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rofen lands with a punch from half guard. Rofen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ground and pound from Rofen. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rofen in particular looking to stall.

Waber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rofen lands with a punch from half guard. Rofen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waber really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rofen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rofen working the head and body with strikes. Rofen scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rofen works his way into full mount! Rofen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rofen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Waber hang on? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. BOOM! Rofen connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Rofen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rofen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zak Rofen has got the better of the ground game so far. Rofen controlling from the full mount. Rofen unloading with bombs! Rofen fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Waber in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rofen controlling his opponent. Waber sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rofen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Waber! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rofen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rofen punishing his opponent with strikes. Rofen lands a heavy elbow. Rofen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rofen cracks Waber with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rofen is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rofen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rofen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Waber looks a forlorn figure.
Rofen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Waber's face.
Waber is rocked! A nice elbow there by Rofen. Oh Waber is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rofen is working for a guillotine from mount but Waber frees his head quite easily.

Let's hope that Rofen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that's the end of the fight! Zak Rofen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rofen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
