Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gennady Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gennady Vieira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Wild! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieira keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wild. Vieira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wild counters with a body kick that stops Vieira in his tracks momentarily. A big right from Vieira misses. Wild throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vieira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wild's guard. Wild is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vieira is aware though and is defending well. Vieira controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wild utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vieira showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gennady Vieira. Vieira is looking to clinch but Wild is avoiding it.
Vieira throws a head kick that misses and Wild counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Vieira with a poor takedown and Wild counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vieira moves to clinch but Wild breaks away and Wild counters with a nice body kick.
Vieira is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wild throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Vieira's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wild dives in looking to finish as Vieira flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wild's strikes! Wild is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Vieira's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Vieira was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Wild!
