Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tariq Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Demian Hell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Francisco tries to land a leg kick but Hell saw it coming and moves away.
Francisco bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Hell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Francisco trying to control from the bottom.
Hell is trying to control the action in half guard but Francisco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Francisco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hell on the ground.

Hell is trying to work for a kimura but Francisco is defending well.
Francisco trying to control but Hell postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are battling for position here. Francisco manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Francisco is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hell trying to control the position from guard on top but Francisco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hell throws a sloppy head kick
and Francisco counters with a solid body kick.
Francisco scores with a head kick. Hell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Hell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Francisco.
Tariq Francisco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Francisco moves to clinch but Hell breaks away

and Hell counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Francisco is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hell drops back looking for a leg! Francisco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Francisco manages to kick Hell off! Hell jumps back into Francisco's guard.
Francisco controls Hell momentarily but Hell frees himself.
Hell is pushing down on Francisco's leg trying to pass to half guard. Francisco is fighting to maintain full guard but Hell has managed to sneak the leg through.

Francisco is trying to control but can't.
Hell tries to pass to full mount but Francisco defends it.
Hell tries to stand but can't do so whilst Francisco controls his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hell trying to control the action but Francisco is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tariq Francisco just wasn't active enough.
A head kick misses from Hell.

and Hell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Francisco won't be happy with that.
Hell looks gassed!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Francisco is not content to let Hell control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Demian Hell dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Francisco lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Hell counters with a single leg into guard. Francisco didn't expect that.
Francisco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hell showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Hell stands and steps away. Francisco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hell blocks a head kick by Francisco.
Francisco moves to clinch but Hell breaks away

and Hell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hell.
Hell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Francisco is pressed up against the cage. Hell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Francisco down to the mat. Francisco avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Francisco tries to clinch but Hell moves away

and Hell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Francisco won't be happy with that.
Hell is breathing heavily.
Francisco struggling a bit here.
Hell wants to control but Francisco is keeping him busy.
Francisco pushes Hell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Francisco tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Hell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Francisco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Hell counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hell.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Hell wants to pass the guard but Francisco is keeping the position.
Francisco has Hell pulled in close to control his posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Francisco tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Francisco's waist but Francisco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hell off to one side.

Francisco is looking to control Hell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Francisco avoid being mounted?

Francisco wants to improve his position but Hell is controlling well.
Hell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hell prevents Francisco from standing back up.
Francisco wants to control but Hell passes into side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Francisco is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Demian Hell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Francisco wants to clinch

and Hell counters with a shoot takedown. Francisco fights it but they end up in guard.

Hell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Francisco is working an open guard so Hell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hell fails with the takedown.
Francisco chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Francisco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hell.
Hell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Francisco drives through and clinches with Hell against the cage.

Francisco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hell circles away from the clinch attempt

and Hell counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Francisco!
Francisco tries to lock up and control but Hell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hell prevents Francisco from getting the reversal.
Francisco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hell looking to control but Francisco is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Francisco working to try and regain half guard.

Hell looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Hell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Francisco is looking to escape.
Francisco is looking to improve his position but Hell isn't that keen on the idea.

Francisco is working hard here to advance position.
Francisco tries to hold on but Hell pushes him away.

Hell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hell goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Francisco is on top in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Francisco trying to control the position from guard on top but Hell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Francisco is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tariq Francisco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Demian Hell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Demian Hell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
