Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Walter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sergey Boyko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergey Boyko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Walter! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Chris Walter has been cut. Boyko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boyko misses with a double jab
and Walter counters with a nice uppercut. Walter shoots in but Boyko avoids the takedown attempt easily. Walter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boyko tries to avoid it but Walter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boyko to the ground. Boyko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Boyko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walter. Boyko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Walter. Boyko tries to bum rush Walter with a series of wild strikes but Walter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Boyko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Walter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boyko wants to get back to his feet but Walter is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Boyko has his feet on Walter's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Boyko lands a head kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Walter fails in his attempt to clinch. Walter blocks a head kick by Boyko.
Walter looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Walter looks gassed! Walter wants to control from the top but Boyko keeps moving. Walter prevents Boyko from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boyko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walter is looking to stand up but Boyko won't let him. Walter tries to free his leg and advance position but Boyko is retaining full guard. Walter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Walter wants to pass the guard but Boyko is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boyko misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boyko misses with a hook
and Walter counters with a series of strikes. Boyko will be more careful next time no doubt. Boyko is looking to land body kicks. Walter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boyko, pushing him back against the cage. Walter tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sergey Boyko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Walter. Walter tries to pull guard but Boyko holds him up against the cage and eventually Walter drops back down to his feet.

so Walter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Walter looking to sit in guard and control but Boyko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Walter trying to control the position.

Chris Walter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Walter's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Walter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boyko looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Walter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Walter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyko walks away with a smile on his face. Walter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Boyko. Those never looked like landing. Boyko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Boyko connects with an inside leg kick. Walter is breathing heavily. Boyko tries to bum rush Walter with a series of wild strikes but Walter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Walter misses with a takedown attempt - Boyko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boyko swivels and escapes. Sergey Boyko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Walter. Boyko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Walter counters with a shoot takedown. Boyko fights it but they end up in guard. Walter wants to stand and escape but instead Boyko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Walter looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Walter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boyko tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Walter to stand up. Boyko keeps the fight on the outside. Walter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Walter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boyko did well to prevent Walter getting side control. Walter is just content to waste time from the top position. Boyko takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Boyko is looking to stand up but Walter isn't so interested in that idea. Chris Walter has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walter trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Boyko can't keep his opponent in guard - Walter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Walter tries to pass to full mount but Boyko defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Walter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chris Walter's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Walter gets a clinch. Boyko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Walter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Walter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boyko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boyko throws a right and a left that both miss. Boyko looks to land a combination but Walter avoids it well. Boyko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walter manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boyko gets tackled into the cage by Walter. Walter maintains the clinch. Walter pushes Boyko against the cage but Boyko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Walter shoots in for a takedown but Boyko shows good takedown defense. Boyko misses with a head kick.

and Walter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walter. Walter tries to stand but Boyko is controlling from the bottom. Walter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Walter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boyko dives on top into guard. Boyko prevents Walter from getting back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walter can do anything to dispel that myth. Walter wants to hit a switch here but Boyko passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Walter there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Walter tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boyko stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Walter tries to clinch but Boyko moves out of range. Boyko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boyko falls off balance throwing a combination
and Walter counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sergey Boyko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chris Walter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Walter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Walter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Walter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
