The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicken scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hicken throws a good cross that connects.
Yang looks to clinch
and Hicken counters with a nice uppercut.
Hicken misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mickey Yang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hicken connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yang lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hicken has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hicken and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Hicken counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Hicken's jab looks to have found its range, popping Yang under the eye.

and Hicken counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yang's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hicken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
