The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer lands a head kick. Ademee smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ademee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mercer's guard.
Ademee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mercer darts in trying to clinch
and Ademee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ademee.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ademee trying to move into half guard but instead Mercer has managed to sweep!
Mercer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ademee wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Mercer's hips, looking to push off. But Mercer grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Ademee screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
