Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Makhnov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Djj Skeet! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skeet moves away from the strike by Makhnov. Makhnov throws a right hand that Skeet ducks under and follows up with a left that Skeet also avoids with ease. Makhnov misses with a wild combination.
Skeet looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Skeet wants to free his trapped foot but Makhnov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Skeet is looking for a kimura here.
Skeet is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Makhnov defends it well. Makhnov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skeet is looking to stall here but Makhnov recovers full guard. Skeet drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Makhnov dives on top into guard. Skeet is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Skeet looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Makhnov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Skeet lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Makhnov!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makhnov is trying desperately to improve position. Skeet throws a strike there. Makhnov manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Makhnov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Skeet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Makhnov is keeping the position for now. Skeet sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Makhnov doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Skeet paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Makhnov - great work!
