PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cowboy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine comes into the arena with Stupid KId blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanchez's choice of entrance music: Naughty By Nature - O.P.P.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Cowboy Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sanchez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sanchez misses with a double jab

Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Machine cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Machine throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanchez on the side of the head.
Sanchez closes the distance looking to clinch
and Machine counters with a big head kick but Sanchez shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machine gets a clinch.

Machine has hold of one of Sanchez's legs. Sanchez is fighting the takedown attempt but Machine gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sanchez trying to keep a closed guard but Machine is proving a slippery customer.
Machine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Machine connects with a couple of short punches.

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sanchez looks gassed!
Sanchez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Machine controls the pace.
Machine postures up and lands a big shot to Sanchez's brow.
Machine throws a big right hand that misses.
Machine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Machine thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Machine is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machine slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Machine in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Machine in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Sanchez taking punishment in the form of punches.
Machine working the head and body with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machine has hold of Sanchez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sanchez seems comfortable defending it but Machine has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sanchez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sanchez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Machine couldn't care less - he's delighted!
