Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Schaub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Kerr looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schaub closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kerr quickly recovers to half guard. Kerr looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Schaub not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Schaub takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Schaub is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Schaub is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Schaub misses with a head shot. Kerr uses the momentum to regain guard. Schaub has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kerr is proving hard to escape from. Schaub throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schaub trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Schaub is stalling in the full guard. Schaub tries to free his leg and advance position but Kerr is retaining full guard. Schaub trying to control but Kerr is working from the bottom. Kerr wants to stand and escape but Schaub is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Brendan Schaub was stalling too much, according to the referee. Schaub tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kerr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kerr wants it to stay on the feet. No luck for Schaub with that takedown attempt. Kerr avoids the head kick by Schaub.
Schaub will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendan Schaub. Schaub tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kerr swivels and escapes. Schaub shoots for a takedown but Kerr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Schaub shoots in but no luck this time. Schaub fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kerr. Schaub throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kerr's waist but Kerr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schaub off to one side. Schaub tries to keep at a distance but Kerr has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr has had enough of the clinch but Schaub keeps him there for the moment. Schaub manages to break the clinch.
Schaub misses with a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Kerr as Schaub shoots in. Kerr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Schaub manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kerr shoots in but no luck this time. Kerr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schaub. Nice takedown defense from Kerr. No joy for Schaub on that attempt. Kerr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Schaub doesn't manage to clinch there - Kerr circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kerr instigates a clinch. Schaub tries to pull guard but Kerr holds him up against the cage and eventually Schaub drops back down to his feet.

Schaub breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kerr misses with a takedown attempt - Schaub sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Schaub tries to clinch there but Kerr circles away.
Schaub fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kerr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kerr closes the distance and clinches up with Schaub, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes Schaub against the cage but Schaub circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Schaub dives in and grabs Kerr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes down on Schaub's head and hops out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brendan Schaub will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kerr fails to land the takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schaub is defended easily by Kerr. Nice sprawl there from Kerr as Schaub shoots in. Schaub shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kerr sprawls well. Kerr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schaub gets slowly back to his feet. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendan Schaub. Schaub moves into range and connects with a jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Schaub tries to clinch there but Kerr circles away.
Schaub shoots in for a takedown but Kerr shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schaub closes the distance but Kerr moves to the side so Kerr counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kerr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Schaub is trying to keep Kerr in close.
Kerr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Schaub is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Schaub has escaped and now he's on top! Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaub with a flurry of punches that miss. Kerr has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Schaub off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Schaub fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Schaub fails with a takedown attempt. Kerr tries to clinch up but Schaub circles away and keeps his distance. Mark Kerr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Schaub throws a right and a left that Kerr avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schaub fails with the takedown. Kerr has a takedown stuffed. Kerr with a poor takedown and Schaub counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kerr! Kerr is looking to improve his position but Schaub isn't that keen on the idea. Schaub tries to control but Kerr wriggling away. Kerr wants to try and get back to his feet. Schaub throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schaub tries to control but Kerr wriggling away. Schaub is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kerr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kerr shrugs it off. Kerr gets back to half guard. Schaub has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kerr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schaub pulls his head out easily. Schaub wants to control but Kerr is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Kerr will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Schaub tries to clinch up but Kerr circles away and keeps his distance. Schaub fails with the takedown and Kerr moves into the clinch. Kerr pressing his opponent against the cage. Schaub tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schaub lands a right hand. Schaub is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Schaub drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kerr pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr misses with a double jab.
Schaub fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kerr avoids it really well and circles away. Schaub tries to clinch but Kerr moves away and Kerr moves into the clinch. Schaub misses with a knee to the head. Kerr has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Schaub avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kerr pulls guard. Schaub would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kerr holds on and takes a little breather. Schaub is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaub wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kerr is on top in guard.
Kerr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kerr postures up.
Schaub might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kerr kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Brendan Schaub hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Schaub fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kerr, pushing him back against the cage. Schaub tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Schaub jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kerr walks away with a smile on his face. Schaub gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Schaub tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kerr moves into the clinch. Kerr tries to score a body lock takedown but Schaub shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Schaub has had enough of the clinch but Kerr keeps him there for the moment. Schaub looking to stall.
Schaub is pressed up against the cage. Kerr has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schaub down to the mat. Schaub avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Schaub changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerr tries to avoid it but Schaub manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerr to the ground. Kerr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Schaub tries to clinch up and Kerr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kerr.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerr decides to pull guard. Kerr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schaub is one step ahead there. Kerr keeping full guard, as Schaub tries to pass. Kerr is trying to control the position but Schaub postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schaub wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving. Schaub stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kerr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Kerr showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kerr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
