Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Philip Farmery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Remy Bonjasky!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjasky tries to close the distance and clinch but Farmery swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bonjasky throws a sloppy head kick and Farmery moves out of range easily.
Farmery shoots for a double leg takedown but Bonjasky sprawls well. He's pushed Farmery's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Farmery shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bonjasky defends it nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bonjasky enables Farmery to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bonjasky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Farmery trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonjasky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bonjasky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Farmery is controlling him.
Farmery seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bonjasky wants to stand up but Farmery is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Philip Farmery just wasn't active enough.
Farmery avoids the head kick by Bonjasky.
Farmery tries a head kick but it misses.
Farmery looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bonjasky is fending him off so far but Farmery persists. Nope, Bonjasky circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Farmery. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bonjasky misses with a double jab

and Farmery counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bonjasky's guard now.
Farmery passes Bonjasky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Farmery is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Bonjasky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farmery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Farmery wants to take a breather but Bonjasky is having none of it.
Farmery works his foot free and advances to mount.

Farmery is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Bonjasky is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Bonjasky flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Farmery anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Bonjasky and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Farmery slips an arm under Bonjasky chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Farmery has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Farmery is squeezing on Bonjasky like an anaconda would it's prey. Bonjasky fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Philip Farmery!
