Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harold George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niko Bellic! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! George misses with a takedown and Bellic counters with a straight right hand. Bellic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from George.
George fails with the takedown and Bellic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bellic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bellic holds on and takes a little breather. George is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. George tries to free his leg and advance position but Bellic is retaining full guard. Bellic looking for a sweep. Not yet Bellic, not yet. George wants to control from the top but Bellic keeps moving. George drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and George jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. George forces his way into half guard.

George is looking to take a break and control but Bellic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bellic gets full guard. George looking to sit in guard and control but Bellic gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. George is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. George looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bellic puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. George is looking for a sweep. Bellic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. George is working hard here to advance position. Bellic controlling the action here. George tries to roll over but Bellic keeps him under control. George is refusing to be controlled, as Bellic sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. George blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bellic. George works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bellic wants to stand but George is controlling his posture from full guard. George preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. George keeping moving, preventing Bellic from controlling successfully. Bellic postures up.
Bellic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bellic preventing the sweep. George looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. George shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bellic's guard. Bellic is pulling down on George's head. It's preventing any offense from George, at least for the moment. George trying to control but Bellic is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. George loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. George controls the pace of the fight for a moment. George wants to control from the top but Bellic keeps moving. George postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bellic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of George, into his guard. George trying to control the position.
George is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Harold George will probably get the nod. That's time! George's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bellic. George does a little dance to reset his feet. George throws a combination. Bellic tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Harold George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. George shoots and misses and Bellic counters with a right hand to the body. George with a poor takedown and Bellic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harold George. That's going to take a lot out of him. George drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bellic pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces George back to the cage. Bellic follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Harold George has been cut. George has his takedown stuffed and Bellic counters with a nice body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bellic works George's body with a nice hook. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bellic!
Harold George is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This has been an exciting period of action! Bellic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. George eats them both and turns towards Bellic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Bellic throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

George manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bellic stopping the sweep attempt from George. Bellic postures up and lands a big shot to George's brow. George shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bellic counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Bellic wants to control but George is keeping him busy. Bellic controlling the action here. Niko Bellic has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. George misses with a takedown and Bellic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bellic listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Bellic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between George's hands. Bellic thows a body shot but no joy. Bellic gets caught flat footed, as George shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. George pushes down on Bellic's leg and manages to get into half guard.

He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bellic tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from George!
