Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rico Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones wants to clinch.
Jones wants to clinch but Stone slips to the side

and Stone counters with a takedown into side control.
Stone working away.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.

Stone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jones has escaped the position, nice work there.

Stone goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stone but great work by Jones.
Jones tries to stand but Stone is controlling his head.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Stone get back to his feet.
Stone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stone takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones wants to clinch

and Stone counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jones lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!
Stone is breathing heavily.
Stone takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jones scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stone to see if he's OK.
Jones is chipping away with strikes.
Stone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones just content to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Stone tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.
Jones scoring with punches from side control.
Jones takes a little break here. Stone wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jones decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones scores with a body shot.
Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Jab, jab by Jones - just one landing.


It looks like Rico Stone has been cut.
Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stone's head.


Stone is rocked!
Donk. Jones catches Stone right on the button with a cross.
Oh Stone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Stone's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Jones dives in looking to finish as Stone flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Jones's strikes! Jones is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Stone's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Stone was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Jones!
