Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adolf Tigrovi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, mikel weiser! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! weiser throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tigrovi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Tigrovi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. weiser quickly recovers to half guard. Tigrovi works his way into side control. weiser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tigrovi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tigrovi tries to score with some ground and pound. weiser controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Tigrovi in side control, throwing shots but weiser defends. The strikes coming from Tigrovi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Tigrovi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tigrovi throwing shots but missing, from side control. weiser tries to buck Tigrovi off but Tigrovi is having none of it. weiser dodges the ground and pound from Tigrovi. Tigrovi tries to score with some ground and pound. weiser controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tigrovi lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tigrovi is working to tighten is grip on weiser's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. weiser has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tigrovi is really squeezing tight and eventually weiser passes out! Tigrovi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
