Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anko Hidetaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Saburo! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hidetaka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Saburo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Saburo keeping full guard, as Hidetaka tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hidetaka wants to stand but Saburo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hidetaka gets to his feet - Saburo follows without any prompting. Hidetaka thuds his right hand into Saburo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Anko Hidetaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hidetaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saburo darts in and clinches Hidetaka up against the cage. Saburo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hidetaka smiles and moves away.
Hidetaka moves to clinch but Saburo breaks away and Saburo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saburo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hidetaka walks away with a smile on his face. Saburo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hidetaka throws a head kick but Saburo moves out of range.
Hidetaka fails in his attempt to clinch. Hidetaka closes the distance and clinches up with Saburo, looking for a takedown. Hidetaka pushes Saburo against the cage but Saburo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sloppy strikes from Saburo. Those never looked like landing. Hidetaka jabs Saburo right on the nose. Saburo blinks but takes it well. Saburo looks to throw a body kick and Hidetaka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Saburo is working for takedown but Hidetaka is calmly controlling the position for now. Anko Hidetaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Saburo. Hidetaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hidetaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saburo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Adam Saburo has been cut. Hidetaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hidetaka digs a good body shot into Saburo's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hidetaka throws a sloppy head kick and Saburo moves out of range easily. Saburo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hidetaka. Saburo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hidetaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saburo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hidetaka counters by moving into the clinch. Hidetaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hidetaka lands a high kick!
Hidetaka lands with a kick to the temple. Saburo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Saburo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hidetaka lands a nice looking body kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hidetaka. Hidetaka lands with a slapping head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hidetaka clinches with his opponent.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Saburo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hidetaka just stands there and leans against the cage. Hidetaka breaks from the clinch.
Hidetaka tries a head kick but it misses.
Hidetaka jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Saburo throws a sloppy head kick and Hidetaka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Saburo on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hidetaka misses with a head kick.
Hidetaka connects with a high kick. Saburo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hidetaka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hidetaka landing knees to the head.
Come on Hidetaka - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hidetaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hidetaka misses with a head kick.
Hidetaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saburo keeps the fight on the outside. Hidetaka tries to clinch but Saburo moves away and Saburo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hidetaka's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saburo trying to control the position from guard on top but Hidetaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Saburo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hidetaka is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anko Hidetaka dominated that round. The cut man is working on Adam Saburo's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hidetaka punishes Saburo's body with a nice straight punch. Hidetaka drives through and clinches with Saburo against the cage.
Hidetaka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hidetaka throws a head kick that half lands.
Nice body kick there by Hidetaka. Hidetaka lands with a kick to the temple. Saburo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saburo takes one to the side of the head.
Hidetaka delivers a nice body kick. Hidetaka throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Saburo is breathing heavily. Saburo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hidetaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hidetaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hidetaka scores with a three punch combo!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hidetaka lands with a right hand. Saburo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hidetaka throws a head kick that half lands.
Saburo is rocked! Hidetaka lands a brutal head kick. Saburo looks out on his feet and Hidetaka throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
