Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iqbal Al Mamood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Mamood has chosen Mamute Pequenino as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy darts in trying to clinch
and Bundy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bundy throws a combination that misses
and Al Mamood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Al Mamood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Al Mamood wants to pass the guard but Bundy is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bundy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bundy tries to get out of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Al Mamood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Al Mamood tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Al Mamood might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Al Mamood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Iqbal Al Mamood hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bundy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
