Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Green. Shears has chosen Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Billy Shears enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Marko Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Shears!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shears takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Gracie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shears.
Shears scores with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Shears makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gracie tries to clinch up but Shears circles away and keeps his distance.

Shears shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.
Shears with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shears gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shears doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shears manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gracie has his foot on Shears's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shears works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shears gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Shears is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shears looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gracie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Shears is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shears accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well Shears has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
