Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Vasyl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pebble Braithweight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasyl comes to the cage accompanied by California Love. The crowd seem to be enjoying Braithweight's choice of entrance music: 300 violin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasyl closes the distance looking to clinch and Braithweight connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Vasyl falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Braithweight counter with a right hand. Vasyl closes the distance but Braithweight moves to the side and Braithweight counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Vasyl instigates a clinch. Braithweight throws an elbow that misses.
A short right from Vasyl. Vasyl lands a body shot in the clinch.
Vasyl tries to score a body lock takedown but Braithweight shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Braithweight tries a knee to the head but Vasyl blocks it.
Vasyl doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Braithweight. Braithweight has Vasyl pushed against the cage. Vasyl lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Vasyl lands an elbow inside that Braithweight shrugs off. Braithweight on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Vasyl misses with an elbow over the top.

A short right from Vasyl on the inside. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Vasyl pushes Braithweight back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Braithweight is looking to control Vasyl's arms but Vasyl gets an underhook and turns him. Now Braithweight has his back to the cage. Vasyl breaks from the clinch.
Vasyl darts in trying to clinch and Braithweight counters with a lovely straight right hand! A big left from Vasyl misses. Vasyl is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Vasyl shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Braithweight napping and manages to drive through into side control! Vasyl landing strikes. The strikes coming from Vasyl are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Braithweight is looking to regain half guard here but Vasyl keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braithweight takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Braithweight takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Braithweight is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vasyl off and has taken his back! Braithweight tries to keep control of the position but Vasyl is staying busy. Vasyl turns into Braithweight and is now in his guard.
Braithweight looks gassed! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasyl accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vasyl advances to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vasyl lands a nice short elbow. Vasyl wants to take a breather but Braithweight is having none of it. Vasyl slips a nice elbow through Braithweight's hands, connecting with Braithweight's forehead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasyl working over Braithweight with some ground and pound. Braithweight looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vasyl scoring with strikes to the body and head. Vasyl wants to work for an arm triangle but Braithweight is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Braithweight tries to get to full guard but Vasyl has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasyl is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Braithweight doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vasyl. Vasyl working the head and body with strikes. Vasyl working over Braithweight with some ground and pound. Braithweight looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vasyl looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Braithweight with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vasyl has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vasyl lands a nice short elbow. Vasyl in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Braithweight tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vasyl!
