Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gogo Momo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Momo has chosen Miles Davis - Moon Dreams as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gogo Momo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Momo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Green is in Momo's guard.
Momo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Momo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Momo keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Momo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Momo has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.
Momo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.
Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Momo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Momo's head.

Green seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Momo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Momo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Green stands and throws Momo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Momo struggling a bit here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Green has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Momo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Green.
Momo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Green wants to take Momo's back here but Momo is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Green is looking for a kimura but Momo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Green to get the leverage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Green throwing shots but Momo is blocking nicely.

Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Green is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Momo is just riding it out for now. Green eventually gives up the hold.

Green tries to bum rush Momo with a series of wild strikes but Momo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Momo counters with a nice uppercut.

enabling Momo to counter with a crisp jab.

Green throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Momo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Green won't be happy with that.

Green is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Momo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Green can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Momo goes for an armbar but Green turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Green.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
